Ascorbyl Palmitate is much better than plain old "Vitamin C" but it is not water soluble, so taking it with a glass of water won't give you the optimum absorption - you'll be getting less than the full nutritional effect of the product. I take this product with other oil-based supplements such as Cod Liver Oil. Also, if you have a sensitive digestive system or tend to malabsorb nutrients, take Ascorbyl Palmitate with food, not just with other pills or by itself! Even taking it with orange juice won't do the trick. Remember, this is not a water-soluble form of the nutrient! I'm not a healthcare expert or provider in any way, and the statements above are strictly my own opinion. I am not attempting to give anyone advice about their nutrition or supplement plan. A good way to get your vitamin C without that acid dump into the stomach, especially if you take Linus Pauling sized doses. It was delivered in a timely fashion, and I would buy from these folks again.
