The birch wood frame is finished with a clear poly coat and it ready to use out of the box.
Aids in the rehabilitation of Achilles tendon injuries, shin splints, calf strains and other lower leg injuries.
Another advantage of the slant board is that when both feet are placed on it then you can quickly tell if one leg is tighter than the other which could be a possible imbalance and injury risk.

I had a tendon reconstruction in my right ankle back in January. It has healed, but the joint is so stiff and my calf muscles feel off. I also have shortened calf muscles, so something that could allow me to increase their stretch was needed.I was looking for a good slant board to do some stretching on, like the one they used at rehab. This one looked solid, and had good reviews, so I bought it. It was kind of expensive for my budget, but in this case, I think you get what you pay for. It is well crafted and sturdy-I weigh 260, and never felt it couldn't hold me up when I got on it. It didn't wobble or slip, and I like that it has different levels for when (I hope) I need to bump it up a notch.The shipping was VERY fast. I ordered it Thursday, May 3rd and received it on May 4th. It was also extremely well packaged, and arrived without a scratch on it. It was wrapped and padded and covered in plastic and had corner guards on all of the corners...even OUR UPS men, who usually manage to damage something, couldn't put a ding in it.Overall, very pleased.

After a month of Physical Therapy the therapist suggested we get this slant board. He looked it up for me and I ordered it. My daughter (a 47 year old lady with Cerebral Palsy) and I (an 74 year old lady with a heal spur) use it every day to streatch heal cords and it does a great job. Thanks!!!

Ever since I broke my ankle many years ago, I get frequent attacks of achilles tendonitis. I try to remember to stretch everyday, but I often forget and that's when the trouble starts. I saw this slant board at my physical therapist's office and it really helped me there. It's much better than just stretching against a wall. I bought it and placed it in my kitchen. Now, whenever I walk past it, it's there to remind me to stretch. So far, so good. I haven't had a flare-up since I purchased it. It's well made and sturdy, but a little on the large side. However, it has really helped me.
