Features two anatomically contoured silicone inserts that surround the medial and lateral epicondyles, and rest on the flexor and extensor muscles. Inserts leave the elbow bones pressure-free, and provide intermittent compression to the soft tissue of the joint. Graduated compression at edges prevents circulation constriction. I bought this for a recurrent 'golfer's elbow' (I don't golf but with some of my other activities that is the epicondylitis I get). Part of the answer is proper rest but when that is unsatisfactory (along with anti-inflammatories...) a support band can be very helpful.Caveat one is that sometimes you don't need to jump right to this one. It is expensive...very good and very effective, but expensive. There are some much cheaper ones out there that you can give a trial run with and you very well may have a satisfactory response.Caveat two is that proper sizing is HIGHLY important. Take the measurements carefully and exactly as the instructions say. There is not a lot of room for error and for such a pricey (and apparently hard to deal with the manufacturer/vendor according to the other reviews), you don't want to have to mess with returns.Caveat three is to pay attention to who is selling. Amazon is not the vendor at the time of this review. The vendor is the company that makes the product. That means no Prime/SuperSaver shipping and if you have problems you have to deal with them. As long as you are aware and understand this then you can anticipate if there are issues. I had no problems so I did not contact the company..and I got the proper product, shipped quickly etc. All that belongs in a review of the seller and I only place it here under product as the vendor is the manufacturer.To sum up--a very effective and helpful support for medial (or lateral) epicondylitis aka golfer's (or tennis) elbow and definitely worth a try if something less expensive has not been useful.RECOMMENDED.JTG

The device works as advertised. Unfortunately, size was impossible to determine from description so it is too big and too much of a pain to return. Amazon gave the supplier my email address and I have been bombarded with sales spam from this supplier every day since. Sometimes MORE than one a day. Very irritating. Finally got them to stop. But I shouldn't have had to endure that in the first place. To the supplier: I've got your web address. I'll let you know if I want anything else from you. Until then, leave me alone.

I've used one of these for about 5 years. It was getting old and tattered. Plus, I started using arm crutches a few months back and my forearms grew a little to the point where I needed s size change. The one I received was a bit too big, so I asked exchange the item for the next size down. Piece of cake! Shipped the wrong one to an address with instructions for the exchange and received the new one in 2 days. (It helped that I live in Los Angeles, which is where their returns/exchange department is located.The sleeve really helps to relieve the tendon soreness from using the crutches.
