Great gift

I bought this set for my son who is interested in starting the "wet" shave. After doing two days on online research, I decided to order this set. It is goregous. He loves it. Infact, it was so nice, I ordered another set for my other son.I took the cup to Things Remembered, a mall store, and had it engraved with his initials. That made it even more of a keepsake.I recommend the sandlebar shave soap. They enjoyed the "manly" scent of that.

It's best to have the complete set

I really enjoy this 5 piece shaving set, and shaving like men used to. Merkur is the best razor, the brush is very 'weighty' and the badger bristles are definitely best. The stand is just right for the 2; like it is made for these particular items. The matching bowl is nice and easy to hold with its flared base. The block of shave soap fits awkwardly against the round bottom of the bowl, but not really a problem... after it is wet it kinda sticks to the bottom and stays in place. The soap lathers well, the brush is SO soft and easy to rinse, and the shave beats any kind of modern razor.

Saving whilst shaving

I purchased this shaving set as a reaction to the ever spiraling cost of multi-bladed razors, and was pleasantly surprised with the result. I would recommend this five-piece Col. Conk shaving set for anyone looking forward to cutting costs without cutting themselves.
